NAPT 2019 Announces Keynote Speaker

Barbara L. McAneny, MD

President, American Medical Association

Dr. McAneny is a board-certified medical oncologist/hematologist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. In June 2018 she became the 173rd president of the American Medical Association. Prior to that, she has been a member of the AMA Board of Trustees since June 2010, serving as its chair in 2015-2016. Dr. McAneny is also the founder and current chair of the board of the National Cancer Care Alliance, a group of independent practices collaborating to use innovation to deliver high-quality, high-value cancer care and to develop new alternative payment models based on sound data-driven principles. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota and with honors from the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
